Easter Egg Decorating

This was the first year that we have decided to dye Easter Eggs with the kids. I am not sure why we have not done it in the past, but the kids really enjoyed it!

It is official!!!!

Well please keep happy and not too stressful thoughts in mind for us because we are moving again!!!

Rob and I have never really felt like this house is home, and have NEVER been hapy with Karleigh's school...so we started looking at houses, thinking that we were just looking.

We happened to stumble across a house in a neighborhood we looked in 7 years ago, and got an amazing deal on it!!!!

The crazy part is we take possession on the 28th of this month....we did that because it happens to be during Rob's Spring Break......

We can't wait to share our new home with you.....we have a nice fire pit in the backyard so I am sure we will host some sort of bonfire this summer!!!

Blizzard of 2008

I can not believe the amount of snow we have had so far!!!!! We have well over 1 foot....I would say closer to 16 inches....but I haven't measured for sure!

Aaron does not like to play in the snow......but Karleigh LOVES to!!!! I snapped a few pics of her playing outside today!

We hope everyone is staying warm!!!!!

My Little Princess is Growing Up!!!

Karleigh got her ears pierced today!!!

Rob and I have always agreed that when it came to things like getting her ears pierced or other similar things, we would never tell our kids when to do them, but rather when they were ready and could explain why they felt ready we would support them.

Well yesterday, Karleigh announced that she was ready to get her ears pierced.....and her reasons were she has seen a lot of pretty earings around lately and she just felt ready. So I told her that since she had gymnastics today that it would be better to wait until after that so that if her ears were sore they would not get bumped at gymnastics.

So after her sessions this afternoon, Karleigh and I set out for a Mommy and me afternoon at Polaris! She was soooo brave (much better than I was!).

She was so excited to call her Aunt Amie, and Grandma S and Grandma L and tell them all about it! And she can not wait until she can change them in 6 weeks!!!!

Here are a few pictures of the newly pierced ears.....not the best pictures so I will try for better later!

Only my Little Karleigh

Okay so I am reposting this from February 25th.....so many of you have already read this and I am sorry for the repeat!

Only my little Karleigh
Sooooo bless her little heart, if some weird injury or illness is going to get someone in our family it will be Karleigh!Tonight, she was playing in the family room with a bar stool from the kitchen island(it is best not to ask) and it slipped out of her fingers and bonked her on her nose....Well I think she thought she was in trouble for goofing off so she did not want to cry but when she picked her little head up, she had a bloody nose...out of both nostrils.......and as Rob and I were talking about what to do, her eyes started to get black and blue...After 2.5 hours in the ER.....diagnosis is a broken nose! Poor thing! The whole time we were waiting she was worried about how late it was getting because she has standardized testing all week and her teacher has been talking about getting a god nights sleep.....So the Dr. warned us that she may look like a rainbow in the morning.....but the good news is she is fine and sound asleep like an angel right now!!!!
